Dr. Yao was originally from Calgary where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology at the University of Calgary. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Medical Dentistry Degree from the University of Manitoba. Afterward receiving his commission in the military, he served with the Canadian military for 9 years, 5 of which was at the rank of Captain. He practiced dentistry at the military base in Toronto and has continued to practice dentistry in the Durham Region since October, 2001.
Dr. Yao is happily married and the proud father of son Braden and daughters Charlize and Dehati. In his free time he likes to spend time with his family, dancing, traveling and playing sports.
Originally from Vancouver, Dr. Michael Laureola received his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology and his Doctor of Medical Dentistry Degree from the University of British Columbia. In his spare time Michael enjoys watching the Vancouver Canucks, playing basketball and football and spending time with his wife Carrie and their son Ryan.
Dr Aliea Butt graduated from the University of Toronto with a specialist degree in Neuroscience and subsequently in 2000 she graduated with her Degree in Dentistry. She has 4 children and is busy with hobbies such as karate and baking with the kids. Her goal is to achieve her black belt within the next 5 years and she is always eager to compare sparring techniques or recipes with her patients.
Dr. Angela Chuang graduated with a specialist degree in Cell and Molecular Biology with honours distinction from the University of Toronto. She continued her studies and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Toronto.
In her spare time, Dr. Angela enjoys traveling, good food and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Radhika Khorana graduated from the University of Toronto with a specialist degree in Integrative Biology and subsequently with a Master of Science degree in Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology. She then continued on to the University of Western Ontario where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She also attends current seminars and courses to keep up to date with the latest developments in dentistry. In her spare time Dr. Khorana enjoys spending time family and friends and loves to travel. She enjoys providing healthy smiles to both children and adults.
Originally from Calgary, Dr. Oren Behar received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary, Master of Business Administration from McMaster University, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Western Ontario. Oren is happily married to his wife Tanya and proud father to daughter Ariella, and puppy Kerala. In his spare time he enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Steven Leung was born in Toronto and subsequently moved to the United States after completing his high school education at Upper Canada College. Completing only 2 years of undergraduate studies, he was accepted into Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. After achieving his first doctoral degree (DDS), Dr. S. Leung underwent a rigorous surgical internship at the University of Pennsylvania and then pursued his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Case Western Reserve University while also obtaining his degree in medicine (MD).
Dr. S. Leung's area of interest include extracting wisdom teeth, placing dental implants, bone grafting, and jaw (orthognathic) surgery. He enjoys being able to provide IV and deep sedation for anxious patients requiring oral surgery procedures. In his free time, Dr. S. Leung is an avid golfer and likes to play indoor and beach volleyball. He also loves to travel abroad whenever given the opportunity to help those who have limited access to dental heathcare.
Dr. John Nikolovski was born and raised in Toronto and attended the University of Toronto for his undergrad education. Here he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences with honours distinction. After obtaining numerous awards and scholarships, Dr. Nikolovski decided to pursue a dental degree (DMD) at Boston University School of Dental Medicine.
Upon graduating at the top of his class from dental school, Dr. Nikolovski received numerous awards including Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, Summa Cum-Laude designation, and was the top dental student in science based courses.
In 2007 Dr. Nikolovski furthered his training by attending Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for specialty training to study orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. At his residency program, Dr. Nikolovski treated many complicated malocclusions, including patients with cleft lip and palate, and patients requiring surgery in conjunction with orthodontics.
Following completion of his residency Dr. Nikolovski returned to Toronto to begin his orthodontic career. Upon his return he completed the specialty examination of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and is currently registered as a board certified orthodontist with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
Dr. Nikolovski enjoys working with both children and adults and loves creating smiles in a warm and friendly environment.
Dr. David Leung was raised in Toronto, Ontario where he attended Upper Canada College for 11 years. Afterwards he attended New York University where he received degrees in Finance and Biochemistry. After his undergraduate degrees, he moved to Philadelphia where he attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, receiving his doctorate and periodontics training.
After 11 years away he moved back to Toronto to spend more time with his family and to enjoy his hobbies. Dr. Leung is an avid cook, particularly in asian seafood cuisine and he enjoys art galleries, museums and playing baseball in his spare time.
Dr. Leung has a comprehensive background in periodontics, prosthodontics and orthodontics. He has been placing dental implants since 2001, and is a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto. He has lectured at numerous schools and conferences in the United States.
Dr. Leung is a Certified Periodontist and he provides on-site treatment for Brooklin Village Dental Care patients.
